Sabbath Light

“Resting in God’s Design”

The Sabbath is God’s loving gift — His ordinance woven into creation itself. After six days of labor, He declared a holy pause, not because He was weary, but because He knew we would be. In a world that demands constant motion, the Sabbath whispers: “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Today, we are reminded that true rest is more than sleep. It is restoration — body, mind, and soul — as we step back from the week’s burdens and step into God’s presence. In honoring the Sabbath, we realign our priorities: faith over fear, communion over busyness, love over endless striving. As the psalmist declares: “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 92:1)

Let this day be sacred not only in worship but also in fellowship — with family, with community, and with our Creator. In resting, we are renewed. In obedience, we are blessed.

Call to Faith:
May today be the day we open our hearts to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior
